The wine has more lively acidity than most chardonnays but still has the richness of ripe melon, peach and honeyed pears. Sweet spices and freshly cracked nuts mingle with hints of smoke and indulgence.

Overall that perfect balance which is exceedingly difficult to find – ripe fruits, mineral character and judicious oak ageing.  A wine for fish, white meats or indeed anything with strong sauces or flavours. Also, a wonderfully versatile wine for the cheeseboard. 

 

About Domaine P Charmond 

The village of Vergisson is located 10 km west of Mâcon, south of the Burgundy region and 70 km north of Lyon, it is in the heart of a large park natural, encompassing the rock of Solutré (famous for its discoveries archaeological) as well as the Vergisson rock at the foot of which we are.

There estate consists of 8 hectares in Pouilly Fuissé, Saint Véran, and Mâcon village whites (Chardonnay grape variety): making fruity wines with lots of freshness and easy to drink.?

The climate is favorable for growing vines, thanks to a harsh winter and a hot summer. Although today the latter is upset by the phenomena linked to global warming.
